Welcome..
The Bolton & District Organists' Association is a group, based in the
Bolton area and open to all who have an interest in the organ, whether
they are players or not. We hold regular meetings, usually visiting churches
to hear and play the organs they contain. Most local meetings are on Monday
evenings but occasionally more distant visits are held on Saturdays.
Non-members are always welcome at our meetings, though of course we hope
you'll want to join and support us. We are a registered charity
(charity number 506566) and affiliated to the national body, The
Incorporated Association of Organists. Our objectives are to:
Provide
opportunities for members, and the general public, to broaden their
knowledge of music (particularly for the organ) by arranging talks,
demonstrations etc., and to experience playing on a wide range of organs
by arranging visits to a variety of churches.
We welcome young people and potentially vulnerable individuals and groups
